New Board Ratifies Engagement with Wolverton Capital Markets

EDMONTON, Canada, June 8, 2010 — Obsidian Strategics Inc. ("the Company") is pleased to announce that at its recently held Annual General Meeting, the incumbent directors, Bill Halina, Chairman and Dr. David Southwell, President, were re-elected, and three new nominees:

  • Dendy Young, McLean, Virginia
  • Glenn Williamson, Phoenix, Arizona
  • Michael Janke, Calgary, Alberta

were elected to the Board of Directors.

Biographical Information:

Mr. Young is Managing Partner of McLean Capital, LLC, a private equity firm based in McLean, VA. A serial entrepreneur and an award-winning executive with more than 35 years of experience in the IT industry, including a decade as Chairman and CEO of GTSI Corp. (NASDAQ: GTSI), a $1 billion government-focused enterprise services and solutions provider. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Northern Virginia Technology Council, as Chairman of TechPAC (Political Action Committee) and on the Board of AFCEA International. Mr. Young holds a S.B. Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Mr. Williamson has extensive entrepreneurial, executive level experience, primarily in the financial and operation aspects of companies. Mr. Williamson is Managing Partner of Nest Ventures, LLC, a private equity firm based in Phoenix, Arizona, and Chairman of the Board of Kinetx Engineering and Consultation, an Aerospace firm involved in deep space navigation and advanced satellite engineering both civilian and military. Mr. Williamson is also founder and CEO of The Canada Arizona Business Council, a private sector group sanctioned by the Canadian Government and the State of Arizona to work on increasing bilateral trade.

Mr. Janke, was called to the Alberta bar in 1997 after receiving his LL.B. from the University of Victoria in 1995, practicing primarily in the securities, corporate and commercial areas. Mr. Janke is also the President of Berlinetta Management Consulting Inc., providing consulting advice to management and boards of junior issuers.
